I want a video ipod!

I have had my ipod for over 6 months now and I am already looking for the next this from Apple Inc. I really like the ipod. The only problems I can come up with on the top of my head is the cost of accessories, the scratch prone exterior of the thing and the fact that it does not have a built in mic. I have all the accessories I need (except maybe a good set of headphones), I have a case for the ipod and I have an attachment that allows me to record audio. The one major weakness of the 5th Gen ipod is the fact that you watch video on that small ass screen. I like to watch video on my ipod, there are many vidcast (video podcast) that I subscribe to and I would love to see them on a bigger screen. Sure I play them on my tv with some cables I bought from Radio Shack, but I would like to be on the bus and watching a great episode of dl.tv without trying to figure out who is Pat and who is Roger.

The iphone is suppose to be coming out in the next couple of months and with that the ability to watch video in a widescreen format. The biggest problem with this is that the iphone is only going to have about 8 gigs of memory. With such a small amount of memory (the 5th Gen ipod I have is 30 gigs), it will be hard to get more than just a couple of shows and random videos on there before you run out of space. Granted I only have about 3 gigs total on my ipod, but that is because without the screen real estate, I am reluctant to go through the work of getting video on the thing unless I know I am going to watch the damn thing. If given a widescreen video ipod I would go through all that just for those times when I am stuck on a bus or at the mechanic's.
