My hunt for a Nintendo Wii

I have done a lot of silly things during my life, but waiting in line for over 7 hours to give someone money for a Nintendo Wii is the silliest thing I have ever done. If you have been reading this blog in the past couple of months then you will know that I am smitten with the idea that the Nintendo Wii brings to the table. I was looking for a line to get into starting at around 8pm Saturday night. By 1 am I was pissed that every place I tried didn't have enough for you to get. So I decided to wait in line at the local Best Buy. I was #32 in a line of about 70-80 people. The feeling I got when the Best Buy employee handed me that ticket was a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. Yes, I did freeze my ass and yes I was awake for over 24 hours, but damnit I got my Wii and I love it. The motion sensing is really nice and it works well in the scheme of things. I am addicted to Wii Sports that came with the console and it is really simple but some of the games on it do not work quite as advertised. Boxing for example does not take kindly to fast moves. It is really hard to punch in the direction that you want to. You will mainly spend your time just punching like an idiot not really having any strategy.

So, the guy from Seinfield (Kramer) was at the laugh factory yelling racial slurs after some black guys heckled him. With that I have lost all respect for this guy (not that I had a ton for him to begin with). To shut a heckler up is one thing but to just throw racial slurs around (like "50 years ago you would have been hanging upside down with a fork up your ass!"). And to top it off he didn't really seem apologetic. That is sad that someone like him that works in a profession where you will get called out for your comedy talent by people that do not think you are funny does not have a better way to deal with it then racial comments. And the fact that he was at the Laugh Factory and they continue to let him perform is another messed up thing. This is the main reason racism is as alive then ever because no one checks the guy that does crap like this. Their thinking is hell he is not making fun of me is usually in effect. We have to correct people's way of thinking when it comes to hating someone on such rough basis as skin color or religion. As long as there are ignorance there will be racism, but we as people should not let it continue in such a way.

I just have one last thing to say.....NINTENDO WII BITCHES!!

OUT!
